In The Devil Wears Prada, Andrea Sachs is an aspiring journalist who lands a job at Runway Magazine as Miranda Priestly’s junior personal assistant. According to Miranda, Andy has a poor sense of fashion. She finds it hard to fit in but she talks to Nigel, Runway’s art director to help teach her about the fashion industry. Andy’s commitment to change her appearance intrigues Miranda and she allows Andy to go to Paris Fashion Week instead of her senior assistant Emily.
For this project, I chose to create items that would have been found in the movie. I created a poster for the Paris Fashion Week Show, along with a VIP badge and invitation. I chose red and black as my main colors because they are prominent in the movie. The poster has the Arc de Triomphe which is a significant landmark in Paris where the fashion show takes place.
